2024 Cadillac Lyriq will have OTA upgrade for performance

The Cadillac Lyriq flaunts a 102kWh battery pack despite its slim profile. Customers can choose between two different drivetrain options with this electrical heart. While the Cadillac Lyriq’s main draw is the lap of luxury it provides, the car makes no bones about showing off its athletic prowess. The RWD model’s 340 hp and 441 Nm of torque are impressive figures. This equates to a brisk 5.7-second sprint from zero to sixty.

Want to take on more of a challenge? The Lyriq AWD is happy to help out in any situation. It has two electric motors, which allow it to generate 610 Nm of torque and 500 hp. That gives it the same 0-60 mph time as the Tesla Model Y Long Range (4.7 seconds), in case you were wondering. Not bad for a vehicle less commonly associated with speed than calm.

This is where things start to get… interesting? Cadillac is improving the performance of the 2024 model in a number of ways. There is no need for any greasy hands or wrenches after the purchase; the upgrade simply plugs into the Lyriq.

There have been rumblings that a new Cadillac Lyriq V could be unveiled soon. This torquey treat, however, could sway those on the fence. While the Lyriq’s performance is undeniably alluring, the true draw of the vehicle is its unabashed commitment to luxury. For example, the Luxury package pampers its passengers with cutting-edge features like the dependable Super Cruise system, a power-opening moonroof, ventilated Nappa leather seats, and a mesmerizing 19-speaker AKG sound system.
