Images of the upcoming flagship electric vehicle from Geely, the Galaxy E8 sedan coupe, have surfaced online, revealing its design and key specifications. The Galaxy E8 has dimensions of 5,010 millimeters in length, 1,920 millimeters in width, and 1,465 millimeters in height, firmly placing it in the category of large electric sedans. With a wheelbase of 2,925 millimeters, it should be comfortable to ride in and maneuver.

Geely has opted for a contemporary look with its fastback body, which features concealed door handles and the increasingly common through-type taillights. Rims in the shape of petals complete the look.

The Galaxy E8’s closed design and sharp, piercing headlights make for an impressive front end. What about the black trapezoidal grille below it? That’s more than just a wink at the present, I’d say. Geely made sure this car wouldn’t get lost in the crowd by giving the DRLs on the sides a fang-like structure with a C-shape design, giving the car an aggressive, one-of-a-kind look.

Let’s pause and marvel at the roof, the technological cherry on top of this electric cake. LiDAR and cameras are two possibilities for enabling high-tech driving aids. Geely’s goal is not just to make driving safer; the company also wants to improve the look of your vehicle.

A look inside the Geely Galaxy E8 shows that it has an unusual layout. The interior design is consistent with the concept car’s overall spare aesthetic. The centerpiece of the cockpit is a massive 45-inch display with 8K resolution powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 processor.

The screen is more than just aesthetically pleasing; it measures 1,130 mm by 1,38 mm and has a thickness of 9.8 mm. Geely claims it is also scratch-, water-, fingerprint-, and dust-proof. But is there a third screen involved here? There is still some mystery for us to unravel. Geely maintains its sleek appearance with streamlined dashboard controls and hidden vents for the air conditioner. The two spokes of the steering wheel support a polygonal design that ensures a secure grip.

The Geely Galaxy E8 will have customizable internals. There are both rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive options available to buyers. Information about the base models currently available suggests a 400V setup with a 200 kW rear single motor, allowing for a top speed of 118 mph.

The Galaxy E8 isn’t Geely’s newest brand’s first attempt at an all-electric vehicle. It follows the Galaxy L7 and L6, reinforcing Samsung’s commitment to growing its EV lineup.
