BYD has released the Sealion 07 EV in Thailand, bringing the electric SUV (sport utility vehicle) model to Southeast Asia following its introduction in Europe.
According to a statement made today, the Chinese new energy vehicle (NEV) manufacturer will introduce the Sealion 07 EV at the 41st Thailand International Motor Expo 2024, which begins on November 28 in Bangkok.
In Thailand, the model has been renamed as the Sealion 7, same as BYD did in Europe.
The Sealion 07 EV is available in two variations in Thailand: the Premium rear-wheel drive version, which starts at 1,149,900 baht ($33,380), and the Performance all-wheel drive version, which starts at 1,249,900 baht.
The electric SUV is the first model of BYD’s e-Platform 3.0 Evo, which is an enhanced version of the e-Platform 3.0. It was released in China on May 10.
The model is presently offered in China in four variations, with prices starting at RMB 189,800 ($26,160), RMB 199,800, RMB 219,800, and RMB 239,800.
Last month, BYD introduced the Sealion 07 EV in European markets, including Norway, where the vehicle is also known as Sealion 7.
