BYD's Denza D9 premium AWD SUV hits Thai market

BYD’s premium brand Denza has joined the Thai market with the all new D9 MPV, broadening its global reach. Denza, a Chinese manufacturer of new energy vehicles (NEVs), has entered Thailand as its fourth Asia-Pacific market, following Hong Kong, Cambodia, and Singapore.

Denza D9 Features 

The all-electric D9 MPV, which will be offered in Thailand, is more than 5.25 meters long, has a maximum power of 275 kW and 368 horsepower, and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.9 seconds.

Denza stated that the Premium-AWD variant has a NEDC range of up to 580 kilometers for urban and long-distance travel.

Denza stated that it has built five showrooms in key districts of Thailand and plans to open ten sales outlets this year.

The D9 is the first model from the relaunched Denza brand, which also sells the N7 SUV (sport utility vehicle) and the Z9GT hatchback in China.

Denza supplied 10,781 vehicles in October, a 6.25 percent decrease year on year but a 4.68 percent increase over September, according to data given by BYD on November 1. Denza delivered 100,974 automobiles between January and October, a 2.97 percent decrease over the previous year.

The Denza D9 was first launched in the market in August 2022. Four hybrid variants and two full electric trim levels were offered at launch. An ultra-luxury four-seat variant, called the Premier Founder’s Edition, was also available as a 99-unit limited production model, and came in a special two-tone paint job.
