Checkout BMW Neue Klasse M3 first official images

The first official pictures of a prototype, which give us a preview of what is to come, have just been revealed. BMW is getting ready to electrify its legendary M3.

The electric M3 is obviously going to be influenced by the Neu Klasse Vision Concept that was unveiled last year, even though the prototype is still extensively hidden. The side profile is crisp and clean, with simple lines that adhere to the three-box form of the concept car, while the front end showcases BMW’s futuristic design language.

However, this is not your typical 3-series. This is an M3, and it has the distinctive M design cues that fans adore. The car’s performance potential is hinted at by its huge wheels, pop-up door handles, broad wheel arches, flared fenders, and Michelin high-performance tires.

The new M3 EV, internally referred BMW as project code ZA0, is expected to make its premiere in 2027. The iM3 promises thrilling electric performance and is built on the Neue Klasse platform, which it will share with the NA0 i3 when it launches in 2026. More potent models are probably on the horizon, with the base model expected to produce about 670 horsepower.

BMW has hinted at quad-motor EVs with more than 1,300 horsepower, but the electric M3’s initial release appears to be a more measured move. BMW is able to match the expectations of its clientele by introducing high-performance electric automobiles to the market gradually thanks to this astute strategy.

The innovative “Heart of Joy” system from the Neue Klasse platform, which powers an all-wheel-drive system and integrated driving dynamics control, will be utilized by the ZA0 M3 EV. Even in its electrified version, the M3 will deliver the accuracy and agility expected of a M car thanks to its quite intricate arrangement.

The M3 and M4 (ZA2) electric cars will be available in multiple configurations from BMW M, each with a varied power output to suit a range of performance requirements. In this manner, enthusiasts can select the model that best fits their needs and driving tastes. With the introduction of the iX3 M SUV (ZA5) in 2026, BMW M will further broaden its all-electric M lineup as it continues its push toward electrification.
