Chinese automaker GAC Aion, known for models like the Hyper SSR and Hyper GT, has officially unveiled its latest electric sedan—the GAC Aion RT. This new EV focuses on efficiency, comfort, and cutting-edge driver assistance, aiming to compete with top electric fastbacks on the global market.
Aerodynamic Fastback Design
The GAC Aion RT features a low-drag fastback silhouette designed to reduce wind resistance and improve overall efficiency. One of its standout exterior elements is the expansive 3.48-meter panoramic sunroof, which floods the cabin with natural light and enhances the premium, open feel of the interior.
GAC Aion also highlights its durable exterior paint, claiming it is both corrosion-resistant and scratch-resistant—ideal for long-term ownership.

The Aion RT sits firmly in the midsize sedan category with the following dimensions:

The EV uses a CATL lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) battery, delivering a claimed 404-mile range on a full charge. Fast charging from 30% to 80% takes around 30 minutes, making it suitable for both daily driving and longer trips.
