Refreshed Tesla Model Y launched in Europe and North America

Tesla launched a new version of its popular Model Y electric SUV in North America and Europe. The revised model features a sleeker look, an enhanced interior, and a greater range. Not only is this exciting news, but the original Model Y is still available. Currently, both versions are available on Tesla’s website.

Refreshed Tesla Model Y Details

The inside of the new Model Y features ambient lighting that extends around the cabin. Ventilated seats provide comfort for both the driver and the passengers. Navigation, entertainment, and vehicle functions are all accessible via the 15.4-inch touchscreen, as is standard. The second-row seats include motorized reclining and can fold flat for more cargo room. An 8-inch rear-screen display with Bluetooth and a touch panel adds entertainment alternatives for those in the back.

The new long-range all-wheel drive Model Y has an estimated range of 325 miles, which is a significant improvement over the original’s 311 miles. It has a top speed of 125 mph and speeds from zero to 60 mph in 4.1 seconds. In comparison, the earlier Model Y long-range AWD need 4.8 seconds to complete the same sprint.

Refreshed Tesla Model Y Price

The redesigned Model Y is only available in the long-range all-wheel drive “Launch Series” configuration. This limited-edition version starts at $59,990 (before discounts and incentives) in the United States and includes distinctive badging on the liftgate, puddle lights, door sill plates, and other minor details. The overall design is recognizable, but the new Model Y has a more streamlined, contemporary look.

The Launch Series Model Y is priced higher in Europe, starting at $67,680, compared to the US. The actual price varies significantly between nations, as is typical in the European market. In Canada, the same variant costs $61,175.

Deliveries of the updated Model Y will begin in March. The original Model Y is still available for a starting price of $44,990, and there are lots of units in stock with significant reductions. If you don’t mind driving last year’s Tesla, this is perhaps the greatest moment to get your hands on one. A word of caution: Canadian customers should be mindful of an upcoming $4,000 price rise for the older model.
