Skoda‘s new Elroq electric SUV has started production at the company’s main factory in Mladá Boleslav, Czech Republic. The Elroq represents Skoda’s ambitious return to the inexpensive electric vehicle category. With over 20,000 orders submitted, the Elroq is creating a lot of interest among buyers searching for a practical and cheap electric SUV.
Skoda’s latest electric model offers several powertrain options. The base Elroq 50 has a 52 kWh battery and a 125 kW motor, whereas the Elroq 60 has a larger 59 kWh battery and a 150 kW motor. The top-tier Elroq 85 has a 77 kWh battery and is available in two configurations: 210 kW rear-wheel-drive and 220 kW all-wheel-drive.
