The Avatr 06 sports a sleek and futuristic appearance that includes dual LED running lights, a closed-off front end, and a large active air inlet in the front bumper. Cameras replace standard sideview mirrors, and retractable door handles improve aerodynamic efficiency. The rear is distinguished by a glass roof that extends all the way to the trunk, a ducktail spoiler, and two thin tail lamps.
Huawei’s Harmony OS is installed inside, and the automobile will also include the Huawei Qiankun advanced driving assistance system (ADAS).
The Avatr 06 is based on the CHN platform, a specific EV architecture developed by Changan, Huawei, and CATL. The Avatr 11 SUV, Avatr 12, and Avatr 07 crossover all use the same platform.
The new Avatr 06 electric sedan Specs
While full specifications for the Avatr 06’s powertrain have yet to be disclosed, it will most likely be similar to the technology featured in the newly introduced Avatr 07 crossover. If this is the case, the BEV version will be available in two configurations: rear-wheel drive (338 horsepower) and all-wheel drive (590 horsepower). A single 82-kWh LFP battery is estimated to provide a range of up to 404 miles under the famously optimistic CLTC specification.
The EREV model is also likely to include rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive options, with 310 and 485 horsepower, respectively. A 39-kWh Freevoy LFP battery will be connected with a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine that will function as a generator. According to the CLTC standard, this system can provide an electric-only range of up to 143 miles and a combined range of up to 684 miles.
Avatr’s new electric vehicle measures 191.1 inches, 77.2 inches, and 57.1 inches, with a wheelbase of 115.7 inches. This makes it a little shorter and wider than the Zeekr 007. The Avatr 06 was originally scheduled to launch in the fourth quarter of 2024, but it is now more likely to arrive in early 2025.
