Citroen C5 Aircross Concept Revealed At 2024 Paris Auto Show

Citroen C5 Aircross Concept was unveiled at the 2024 Paris Auto Show. The C5 Aircross Concept is more than simply a facelift; it represents a total transformation, adopting a daring new look and, yep, turning electric.

Citroen C5 Aircross Concept Details

The concept automobile measures 183.07 inches, which is 5.9 inches longer than the previous C5 Aircross. This means extra space for passengers and goods, reinforcing its status as a family-friendly SUV.

Citroen hasn’t revealed the interior yet, but they promise a roomy and comfy cabin for five, describing it as a “wellness area” and a “cocoon on wheels.” High-quality materials and cutting-edge technology, such as enhanced driver assistance systems and an innovative infotainment system, are expected.

The new STLA Medium platform underpins the 2025 C5 Aircross, providing a modular design that can support a variety of powertrains, including gasoline, hybrid, and fully electric choices. This is consistent with Citroen’s push towards electrification, providing something for everyone.

While specifics are unknown, the entry-level model is expected to utilize the familiar mild-hybrid arrangement with a 1.2-liter three-cylinder engine producing 134 horsepower (100 kW). This engine is already installed in several Stellantis models, providing a good balance of performance and fuel efficiency.

It’s likely to offer a choice of 73 kWh or 98 kWh battery packs, with a possible range of 435 miles. The e-C5 Aircross should be offered in both single-motor (front-wheel drive) and dual-motor (all-wheel drive) variants.

With the Citroen C5 X sedan set to be withdrawn, the new C5 Aircross will take over as the brand’s flagship model. The C5 Aircross will make its production debut in 2025. As the debut date approaches, Citroen is anticipated to provide additional information about the powertrain options, interior design, and available technology.
