Hyundai has launched the Inster Cross, a city-friendly automobile. As the name implies, the car is a crossover model that is excellent for both city driving and outdoor experiences.

Essentially, the Inster Cross has the same battery and drivetrain arrangement as its conventional sister. However, the Cross has a few add-ons, the majority of which are standard for the model.

The Cross is outfitted with large, rectangular front and rear bumpers, skid plates, and side rocker panels. The EV also has 17-inch alloy wheels for added durability in tough terrain. Roof racks will also be standard, although you may purchase a roof basket for additional luggage storage.

In addition to the standard color schemes, the Inster Cross will have an unusual Amazonas Green Matte finish, and the cabin will feature a unique color combination of lime yellow accents and gray material.

Hyundai’s plant in South Korea will begin manufacture of the Inster Cross before the end of this year.

Hyundai Inster Cross Details

The Inster standard model features a 42-kWh battery and a 95-horsepower electric engine, whilst the longer-range version has a 49-kWh battery and a 113-horsepower motor. Both options produce 108 lb-ft of torque and have 0-62 mph speeds of 11.7 and 10.6 seconds, respectively.

The 42 kWh model has a WLTP range of 186 miles, while the larger battery increases it to 221 miles. There’s an 11-kW onboard AC charger and 80 kW DC charging support, so you can charge from 10% to 80% in just 30 minutes. Furthermore, the Inster includes vehicle-to-load (V2L) technology, which allows you to power your external gadgets, thereby transforming your EV into a mobile power station.

With dimensions of 150.6 inches in length and 63.4 inches in width, the Inster excels in urban maneuvering. With a wheelbase of 101.6 inches, it can comfortably fit four people and has a large interior for its size.

The smallest electric Hyundai has a technologically advanced cabin, with two 10.25-inch screens for the digital instrument cluster and entertainment system. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are enabled, along with a wireless charging pad and an optional one-touch sunroof.
