Jaguar is gearing up to unveil a bold new electric vehicle — the highly anticipated Jaguar GT EV — in the United States later this year. This new model marks a major turning point for the brand as it repositions itself to compete directly with luxury EV giants like Bentley and Porsche.
A New Era for Jaguar’s Electrification
The Jaguar GT EV, expected to launch in 2025, will reportedly carry a starting price of over $125,000, signaling the company’s entry into the ultra-luxury electric segment. With this ambitious price point, Jaguar aims to deliver world-class performance, exquisite design, and advanced technology that rivals the best electric grand tourers in the market.
According to Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) CEO Adrian Mardell, the U.S. market will play a crucial role in the brand’s global relaunch. Historically, Jaguar has performed strongly among affluent American buyers, and the new GT EV is set to build on that legacy. This electric grand tourer will be the first model built on the Jaguar Electrified Architecture (JEA) — the foundation of the brand’s all-electric future.

Performance and Design: Setting a New Benchmark
The Jaguar GT EV is expected to deliver an impressive 434-mile range, putting it in direct competition with top-tier models like the Porsche Taycan Turbo GT and Bentley’s upcoming electric GT.
JLR’s Chief Creative Officer Gerry McGovern described the upcoming model as “jaw-dropping,” emphasizing that it will stand out in the increasingly crowded luxury EV space. He also hinted that special editions will play a key role in Jaguar’s strategy to enhance its exclusivity and desirability. One such rumored variant, dubbed “Panthera,” could serve as a limited-edition version of the GT EV, designed to showcase Jaguar’s design and performance prowess.
Expected Debut and Global Showcase
While Jaguar has not confirmed the exact reveal date, speculation points to two likely venues — the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in August or the Los Angeles Auto Show in November. Both are prestigious global stages that align perfectly with Jaguar’s plan to make a high-impact statement about its electric future.
The Jaguar GT EV will be a flagship product, symbolizing the brand’s transformation and signaling the dawn of a fully electric lineup designed for performance, luxury, and sustainability.
Jaguar’s Strong Momentum and Future Plans
Jaguar Land Rover is entering this new electric era from a position of strength. The company recently reported an 80% surge in pre-tax profit, reaching $828 million in the first quarter. Sales of its F-Pace midsize SUV, Jaguar’s current best-seller, also rose by 23%.
Despite lingering supply chain challenges, JLR remains optimistic. The brand has significantly reduced its order backlog and is preparing to launch its first all-electric Range Rover later this year — a vehicle that already boasts over 33,000 interested buyers on its waiting list.
