Xiaomi SU7 Ultra unveils With 1,548 hp HyperEngine V8s electric motor Xiaomi’s CEO, Lei Jun, has just unveiled the highly anticipated Xiaomi SU7 Ultra, an enhanced version of the SU7 Max. This track-focused performance EV is set to redefine the standards of electric vehicles with its new V8s electric motors.

The SU7 Ultra boasts an aggressive design, highlighted by a striking lightning-yellow finish. Its aerodynamic features include a low front spoiler that channels air through the hood, extended side skirts for smoother airflow, and an oversized rear wing to produce extra downforce.

At the heart of the SU7 Ultra is Xiaomi’s proprietary HyperEngine V8s electric motor, their most powerful to date. With a maximum speed of 27,200 rpm, 578 horsepower, and a peak torque of 635 Nm, this motor is a powerhouse. The Ultra is equipped with three electric motors – two V8S and one V6S – generating a combined maximum output of 1,548 hp.

according to Xiaomi Prototype Design for the SU7 Ultra EV electric vehicle o maximize the potential of these motors, the SU7 Ultra features the world’s first Kirin 2 battery, jointly developed by Xiaomi and CATL. This 897V battery pack offers up to 1,330 kW of discharge power, maintaining over 800 kW even at 20% state of charge.

The battery supports 5.2C recharge rates, allowing it to be fully recharged in under 12 minutes, assuming a 101 kWh capacity similar to other SU7 models. The SU7 Ultra’s body panels are made entirely of carbon fiber, reducing its weight to 1,900 kg – 300 kg less than the standard SU7.

This weight reduction, combined with the powerful motors, enables the Ultra to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in just 1.97 seconds, reach 124 mph in 5.96 seconds, and achieve a top speed of over 217 mph.

These brakes, capable of withstanding temperatures over 800 degrees, work in tandem with motor energy recovery, achieving a deceleration of over 2.36G and a zero-to-hundred braking distance of just 25 meters.
