BYD has joined the Peruvian passenger car market as the Chinese new energy vehicle (NEV) manufacturer expands its global presence.
According to an announcement made today, the business recently staged a brand launch in Peru, introducing the BYD Song Pro, Tang, Yuan Up, Seal, and BYD Shark.
BYD has entered into a strategic partnership with local dealer Motorisa to drive the electrification transition in the Peruvian passenger car market, the NEV maker said.
As the business grows in size, BYD will continue to enrich its product matrix in Peru, it said.
BYD plans to open six to seven stores in Peru in 2025, covering all regions of the country.
“Our mission is clear: to create a greener, more sustainable future for the world,” said Audrey Li, vice president of BYD America & regional managing director of BYD Latin America.
Peru, a nation brimming with potential, presents BYD with tremendous opportunities and inspires it to turn its vision into reality, Li said.
