Carice TC2

The Carice TC2 is a small electric two-seat convertible from Dutch maker Carice, aimed at the niche end of the EV market rather than the mainstream. It sits in the lightweight roadster segment, uses rear-wheel drive, and stands out for its very low weight and retro-style design.

Powertrain and charging

The TC2 is commonly reported with a 31 kWh battery, though some sources list 31.5 kWh, so that figure should be treated as approximate. Range is quoted at about 200 km for the standard version and up to 300 km for the larger-battery version, using WLTP-style European figures. Charging information is less certain, but available reports suggest Type 2 AC charging to 80% in around 2.7 hours, while a confirmed DC fast-charging rate has not been clearly published.

Price and positioning

Pricing appears to start at about €44,500, with some later sources placing it closer to €53,854 depending on taxes and market. That makes the TC2 a car for buyers who want a light, low-volume electric roadster for occasional use, not a family EV or long-distance daily driver. Within Carice’s own small lineup, it follows the brand’s earlier lightweight electric roadster approach, while from outside the brand it sits closest to niche rivals such as the Caterham Project V and MG Cyberster.
