i-charging has introduced MAX, a modular charging power unit rated at 1.6 MW. The system is designed for scalable deployments across fleet depots and high-power public charging sites. Operators can expand capacity without replacing core hardware.
What MAX Delivers
MAX uses a modular power architecture. Operators start with the capacity they need and scale in 50 kW increments. The design supports evolving fleet requirements and charging standards.
Key capabilities include:
• Expandable power up to 1.6 MW
• Scaling in 50 kW increments
• Up to eight simultaneous charging outputs
• Mixed connector support
• Reconfigurable interface layouts
Charging Standards Supported
MAX supports multiple connector types from launch:
• CCS
• NACS
• GB/T
The platform is designed to add MCS support as megawatt charging adoption grows. Public transport operators can also integrate pantograph charging for electric bus fleets.
Dynamic Power Allocation
MAX incorporates dynamic power allocation. The system distributes available power across connected vehicles based on real-time demand. This approach improves site efficiency and reduces idle capacity.

Deployment Flexibility
Traditional high-power chargers force early decisions on total capacity, connector mix, and output configuration. MAX allows operators to modify these parameters as operational needs change.
Production Timeline
i-charging has scheduled the first contracted deliveries of MAX for Q3 2026.
Why This Matters for Operators
• Reduces upfront infrastructure risk
• Supports mixed and evolving fleets
• Extends hardware lifecycle
• Aligns with megawatt charging transition
For fleet operators and charging site developers, MAX addresses a common constraint. Infrastructure no longer locks in long-term assumptions at installation.
