The Mini Cooper Electric is a fully electric premium supermini from Mini. It is a three-door hatchback in the B-segment. The model keeps compact dimensions and a low center of gravity, built for urban driving and short daily commutes.
The current generation offers two battery options. The Cooper E uses a battery of around 40 kWh with a WLTP range of about 300 km. The Cooper SE uses a larger battery of roughly 54 kWh, delivering close to 400 km WLTP. DC fast charging supports up to about 75 kW on the smaller battery and up to 95 kW on the larger one. AC charging supports up to 11 kW.
Pricing places the Cooper Electric in the premium small EV class. It suits drivers who want compact size, quick acceleration, and city efficiency. Within the same brand, it sits below the Mini Aceman and the Mini Countryman Electric in size and price. Alternatives include the Fiat 500e and the Peugeot e-208. Compared to the Peugeot e-208, the Cooper Electric focuses more on handling dynamics, while the Peugeot offers a slightly softer ride.
