PROS
- Huawei Qiankun branding is visible on the B-pillar, and the roof-mounted sensor array is expected to use Huawei's 896-channel LiDAR
- The 800V platform with 420 kW peak DC charging on the standard 07 puts charge speed meaningfully ahead of most comparable family SUVs in this segment.
- Triple-motor drivetrain availability gives the 07L a performance ceiling that neither the Li Auto L7 nor Aito M7 currently offer in standard configuration.
CONS
- Range, battery capacity, and charging specs specific to the 07L remain unconfirmed
- Pricing is expected to land above the Avatr 07's current ceiling, and with no confirmed export programme, availability outside China is speculative at this stage
The Avatr 07L is a long-wheelbase five-seat SUV produced by Avatr Technology, the joint venture backed by Changan Automobile, CATL, and Huawei. Positioned as a luxury family SUV and co-developed with Huawei’s Qiankun team, it sits above the standard Avatr 07 within the brand’s lineup. MIIT filings released on May 9, 2026 confirm dimensions of 4,910 × 1,980 × 1,650 mm on a 2,990 mm wheelbase, with available configurations spanning EREV single-motor, EREV triple-motor, BEV single-motor, and BEV triple-motor drivetrains — making it the first Avatr model to offer a triple-motor setup. The 07L is notable as the stretched derivative of a platform already used in China’s competitive mid-size premium SUV segment, with the extended body targeting rear-seat comfort over the standard car’s sportier proportions.
Battery capacity for the 07L has not been officially confirmed at time of writing. Based on MIIT filings, the battery type is listed as LFP. Given platform continuity with the standard 07, it is expected to carry over the 82.16 kWh CATL Shenxing pack used in the BEV variants, which delivers a CLTC range of 650 km (RWD) and 610 km (AWD) — these figures are for the standard 07 and have not been confirmed for the 07L. EREV variants are also expected to offer a combined range exceeding 1,200 km, as on the standard model, though this is unconfirmed. The 800V silicon carbide platform carries a peak DC charging output of 420 kW on the standard 07, enabling 0–80% in approximately 20 minutes; the 07L is expected to inherit this architecture, but charging figures specific to the 07L have not been released. AC onboard charging rate has not been published for either variant at this stage.
Pricing for the 07L is expected to be higher than that of the current Avatr 07, which ranges from CNY 219,900 to CNY 289,900 (approximately $30,500–$40,200 USD at current exchange rates); a launch price above CNY 280,000 for base EREV trim is broadly anticipated in Chinese market commentary, though no official figure has been confirmed. The 07L targets families and buyers prioritising rear cabin space within a premium electric SUV budget — interior images have not yet been released, but the extended wheelbase is expected to provide noticeably more rear legroom than the standard model. Within the Avatr lineup it sits between the standard Avatr 07 and the larger Avatr 11. External rivals at a comparable price point include the Li Auto L7 and the Huawei Aito M7 Plus. The closest direct comparison for SEO and spec-sheet purposes is the Li Auto L7, which competes on wheelbase, family positioning, EREV powertrain availability, and Huawei smart driving integration.
