Acura RSX will be first EV built on Honda's self-developed platform

Honda debuted its proprietary Asimo OS and its first in-house EV platform at CES earlier this month. We also know now which EV will be the first to employ both of them.

Introducing the Acura RSX, which is based on the Acura Performance EV Concept and is displayed here with a complete camouflage package created by the Acura Design team worldwide. That’s all we currently have. Honda’s platform and Asimo OS will be introduced with this model. The RSX is going to be an expensive SUV.

Production will begin “later this year” at the Ohio-based Honda EV Hub. There, it will be the first EV manufactured. Prototype models will begin testing in real-world settings this week. According to the official press release, the camouflage “emphasizes the sleek, coupe-like silhouette with sophisticated patterns that emulate light emerging through the camouflage to convey calmness, strength, and inner power.”

The new RSX is expected to have “fun-to-drive performance” if you’re wondering what to anticipate. In the upcoming weeks and months, additional information will surely be made public, so keep checking back.
