The Ford E-Tourneo Courier is a five-seat compact electric MPV built for the European market. It starts from £29,940 in the UK after the government EV grant, covers up to 179 miles on the WLTP cycle, and charges from 10–80 percent in approximately 23 minutes on a 100 kW DC fast charger. It is Ford’s smallest fully electric passenger vehicle currently on sale in Europe.
The E-Tourneo Courier is Ford’s entry-level model in its all-electric Tourneo passenger lineup — below the larger, Transit-based E-Tourneo Custom, and above the petrol-only Tourneo Courier. The body is van-derived, measuring just under 4.4 metres long, and the layout seats five across two rows. Drive goes to the front wheels only; there is no AWD option. Ford builds it at its Craiova plant in Romania, on the same modified B2E platform used by the electric Puma.
The exterior borrows heavily from the E-Transit Courier panel van but adds a raised roofline, full rear glazing, and the chrome diamond front grille exclusive to the EV variants. Three trim levels are available: Trend, Titanium, and Active. The Active adds wheelarch mouldings, roof bars, skid plates, and a contrast roof colour.
The E-Tourneo Courier uses a 43 kWh usable battery (54 kWh gross). Ford’s official WLTP range is 288 km (179 miles). That figure covers the combined WLTP cycle — motorway driving and cold weather will cut it. A 100 kW (136 PS) front-mounted motor produces 290 Nm of torque, with four selectable drive modes: Normal, Eco, Sport, and Slippery. One-pedal driving is available through an L mode. Maximum towing capacity is 750 kg. The boot holds 1,188 litres with the rear seats in place, and 2,162 litres with them folded flat. A 44-litre frunk under the bonnet takes the charging cable.
Ford rates the onboard AC charger at 11 kW. A full session from 10 to 100 percent on AC takes under 5.5 hours. At a 100 kW DC public fast charger, the 10–80 percent charge completes in approximately 23 minutes — this figure comes from Ford’s October 2024 official launch release and replaces the “under 35 minutes” estimate from earlier preview materials. On a 100 kW DC charger, around 100 km of range returns in roughly 10 minutes. CCS is the charging standard used. Autocharge and Plug & Charge are both supported at compatible stations.
The E-Tourneo Courier starts at £33,600 RRP in the UK, dropping to £29,940 after the £3,750 EV grant. In continental Europe, the entry price is approximately €35,999. Upper trims — Titanium and Active — add connected navigation, wireless charging, and the full driver-assistance bundle as standard. The E-Tourneo Courier suits urban and suburban families who need genuine five-seat capacity in a body that still fits multi-storey car parks, and small fleet operators running regular short-to-medium routes. It is not sold through Ford’s African dealer networks; no official pricing exists for Nigeria, Kenya, or South Africa. Grey-market import costs would depend heavily on origin port and local duty rates.
The closest direct rival is the Citroën e-Berlingo, which shares the same segment, a similar DC charging rate of 100 kW, and a comparable UK price. The Berlingo currently has a WLTP range advantage of around 30 km on its 50 kWh battery variant. The Peugeot e-Rifter and Vauxhall Combo Life Electric are mechanically identical to the Berlingo with different badges and minor specification differences. Within Ford’s own range, the E-Tourneo Courier costs considerably less than the E-Tourneo Custom, which starts from around £64,995 and carries up to nine passengers.
The E-Tourneo Courier’s main advantage over the Stellantis trio is cabin technology: the 12-inch SYNC 4 touchscreen, full digital instrument cluster, and OTA update capability come as standard across all trim levels, where rivals often reserve them for higher grades.
