Apple CarPlay 2.0 Update will support widgets

Apple is prepared to introduce the eagerly awaited CarPlay 2.0, which will enhance our driving experience. Despite missing its original debut date, the tech giant is reportedly planning a major upgrade, according to recent reports. With its customisable widgets, CarPlay 2.0 seems poised to turn car dashboards into an immersive iPhone extension.

The CarPlay 2.0 interface looks quite similar to the well-known iOS and iPadOS widget system, according to leaked pictures. Drivers will probably be able to add commonly used apps and important information to customize their dashboard. Finally, you will be able to view the most recent news headlines, calendar events, and real-time weather updates on the screen of your car.

There are square and rectangle widget styles available in the leaked photos. A sizable widget that alternates between a music player and a navigation map raises the prospect of dynamic and educational displays. Apple appears to be on the verge of introducing a genuinely customized in-car experience.

Although the screenshots that were released show a conventional rectangular screen, CarPlay 2.0’s ramifications go well beyond that. With infotainment and essential car features like the speedometer and climate control, Apple sees CarPlay occupying the entire dashboard.
