Mercedes-AMG is testing upcoming Coupe and SUV in winter

Currently, Mercedes-AMG is working hard on two electric vehicles (EVs) based on its AMG platform: an SUV and a four-door coupe.platform for EA performance. The SUV is now joining the former, which began winter testing in Sweden back in March.

At this point, it is still heavily camouflaged, and for some reason, it is moving in the incorrect direction (keep in mind that Sweden changed to driving on the right side in 1967, thus that is where it should be).

Mercedes-AMG claims that testing in cold weather “is a significant milestone in the development process,” with tests being conducted on both public roads and specialized facilities. The SUV will face “demanding tests” near the Arctic Circle at temperatures below freezing, which will extensively examine the interplay of all components. Northern Sweden is simply the first stop.

The new SUV “showcases the pioneering role of the high-performance drive in the unique all-electric design” and has “a new high-performance battery concept,” whatever that means. Last but not least, just in case you were wondering, Mercedes-AMG only shared one image of the SUV.
