Tesla Cybertruck factory wrap service is not available again

One of the Cybertruck’s main selling points is its naked stainless steel body, which has no paint on top. Tesla has frequently advertised the vehicle as one that does not require paint for protection, as no paint means no scratches.

Initially, the manufacturer offered a factory wrap in two colors: satin black and satin white, however this has been listed as unavailable since January. The option has now been removed from the configurator, guaranteeing that it will not return.

Customers may have been unwilling to spend an additional $6,000 for a wrap, or there was a problem with the raw materials’ supply chain. Poor Cybertruck sales may make the service unprofitable, as Tesla quickly cleared the waiting list. According to published data, only 2.5% of people who booked Cybertrucks ultimately purchased them.

Tesla Cybertruck Specs

The Tesla Cybertruck is a groundbreaking electric pickup truck that combines futuristic design with powerful functionality. Its ultra-hard stainless steel exoskeleton is designed for durability and resistance to corrosion, giving the truck its signature angular appearance. Storage options are abundant, with a 67-cubic-foot lockable bed, a powered front trunk (“frunk”), and a hidden gear locker under the bed. The fold-up second-row seats provide additional interior space, making it versatile for both passengers and cargo.

Performance-wise, the Cybertruck impresses with a towing capacity of 11,000 pounds and a payload limit of 2,500 pounds. Its top-tier model, the “Cyberbeast,” accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.6 seconds and offers a range exceeding 340 miles. Advanced features include 120V and 240V power outlets in the truck bed for charging tools or even other EVs. Inside, two touchscreens—an 18.5-inch display in the front and a 9.4-inch screen in the rear—feature a redesigned angular user interface that complements the truck’s aesthetic.

Pricing starts at $60,990 for the base rear-wheel-drive model, with all-wheel-drive models beginning at $79,990. The performance-focused “Cyberbeast” is priced at $99,990. Deliveries began in late 2023, with production steadily ramping up to meet demand
