BYD’s entry into the Omani automobile market is a significant milestone in the company’s Gulf expansion.
According to an announcement made yesterday, the Chinese new energy vehicle (NEV) manufacturer recently hosted opening ceremonies for three local outlets and a brand launch in Muscat, the capital of Oman.
Five models—Han, Yuan Plus, Seal, Song Plus DM-i, and Qin Plus DM-i—have been introduced by BYD in Oman.
According to AD Huang, general manager of BYD Middle East & Africa, the company’s dedication to advancing green mobility is quite compatible with Oman’s 2040 vision for sustainable development.
Wattayah, Al Mouj, and Mall of Oman are the locations of BYD’s three flagship showrooms in Oman. The business claims that the Mall of Oman showroom was the first to be established in a shopping complex in Oman.
According to BYD, it would keep collaborating closely with regional dealer partners in order to grow its network of sales and service providers.
To further enhance its local product matrix, the company plans to introduce the Sealion 07 in Oman.
