The Smart #1 is a compact electric SUV and the first model from the new generation of Smart vehicles under the Geely and Mercedes Benz joint venture. It sits in the B segment and uses a five door crossover body style. The model replaces the older two seat city cars with a more practical layout for small families and urban drivers.
The Smart #1 uses a 66 kWh battery pack in most global markets. WLTP range is rated at up to 440 km for the standard rear wheel drive version, while the Brabus performance version offers lower range due to higher output. AC charging supports up to 22 kW in selected markets, and DC fast charging reaches up to 150 kW. A 10 to 80 percent DC charge takes around 30 minutes under suitable conditions.
Pricing places the Smart #1 in the upper range of compact electric SUVs, above entry level Chinese rivals but below many premium German models. It suits urban drivers who want compact dimensions with modern infotainment and strong performance. From the same brand, you can also look at the Smart #3 and the larger Smart #5. Alternatives include the Peugeot E 2008 and the Volvo EX30. Compared with the Volvo EX30, the Smart #1 offers similar battery size but a more playful interior design approach.
