PROS

  1. Very powerful AWD version: ~376 bhp / 280 kW in Touring AWD.
  2. 74.7 kWh battery pack (gross) → good capacity.
  3. Fast charging support: up to ~150 kW DC.
  4. Good onboard charger options: either 11 kW or 22 kW (depending on grade) for AC charging.
  5. Rugged / adventurous exterior styling: black wheel arches, roof rails, “estate-SUV” look.
  6. High towing capacity: can tow up to ~1,500 kg.
  7. Long battery warranty / care program: up to 10 years (subject to battery health checks).
  8. Spacious load area: Touring body offers more cargo space than the regular bZ4X.
  9. Efficient new e-Axle technology using silicon-carbide semiconductors → better power / efficiency.
  10. Strong for family / adventure use: combination of EV efficiency + practical SUV / wagon versatility.

CONS

  1. Likely higher cost than standard bZ4X, especially in AWD “Touring” trim (due to power + features) (inferred from power & sizing)
  2. Larger body may reduce efficiency / real-world range vs smaller EVs (because more weight, more drag) — not all sources yet confirm full WLTP real-world.
  3. Charging speed ceiling is decent but not among the fastest in EVs (150 kW is solid but behind ultra-fast EVs).
  4. Rugged styling / wheel arches could slightly impact aerodynamics.
  5. Extra roof-rail hardware + larger wheels may raise unsprung weight or center of gravity, affecting handling.
  6. Higher power AWD version may consume more energy under load or spirited driving.
  7. As a new / relatively rare “touring” EV, less real-world data (long-term reliability, maintenance) is available.
  8. Depending on market, charging infrastructure might still be a limitation (typical EV concern).
  9. More complex drivetrain (AWD, e-Axle) could mean more expensive repairs / maintenance in some cases.
  10. If used for frequent towing, range may degrade significantly under load.
