The smaller 63kWh battery offers a WLTP range of up to 250 miles, while the 87kWh battery reaches a maximum WLTP range of 330 miles in FWD form, with the AWD e-4orce version rated at 319 miles WLTP. On the charging side, the Ariya now comes standard with up to 22kW AC onboard charging plus vehicle-to-load support, and DC fast charging tops out at 130kW, taking roughly 30 minutes for a 10-80% charge on the 63kWh pack or around 40 minutes on the 87kWh pack. That DC rate is on the slower side for the segment — on par with the VW ID.4 but notably behind the Tesla Model Y, Hyundai Ioniq 5, and Kia EV6. US availability is currently unconfirmed: Nissan paused US Ariya production in September 2025, and whether a MY2027 return happens has not been decided, so current stock reflects prior model-year inventory only.

Pricing, fit, and competition: In the UK — currently the Ariya’s primary active launch market — pricing starts around £37,500 for the 63kWh Advance trim (including a £1,500 Electric Car Grant), rising to roughly £50,500 for the e-4ORCE 87kWh Evolve model. Translated loosely to USD/EUR terms, that puts the Ariya in the mid-$45,000–$62,000 equivalent bracket depending on trim and market. It suits buyers who want a comfortable, tech-forward daily driver — commuters and small families prioritizing cabin quality and interior tech over outright charging speed or maximum range.

Within Nissan’s own EV lineup, the Ariya sits above the compact Leaf hatchback and effectively serves as the brand’s flagship electric SUV until a larger model arrives. Externally, it competes most directly against the Volkswagen ID.4 and Hyundai Ioniq 5, with the Tesla Model Y and Renault Scenic E-Tech as longer-range alternatives buyers cross-shop against. For a direct spec-and-price comparison, the VW ID.4 is the closest match — similar segment positioning, similar 130kW-class DC charging ceiling, and overlapping price bands.
