PROS

  1. First application of Geely's 16-in-1 Intelligent E-Drive system
  2. 800V architecture with 6C charging and sub-12-minute 10–80% top-ups
  3. Competitive pricing against similarly specced sporty EV sedans

CONS

  1. Base RWD range (540 km CLTC) trails the top-spec Ultra by over 100 km
  2. Not yet confirmed for sale outside China, so regional pricing and availability remain unknown

The Geely Galaxy TT is a new C-segment all-electric fastback sedan from Geely’s Galaxy sub-brand, positioned as a mid-tier sporty offering below the brand’s larger Galaxy E8. It’s a rear-wheel-drive sedan at launch, with an all-wheel-drive Ultra variant sitting above it, and it rides on Geely’s new GEA Evo global smart new energy architecture. What makes the TT notable isn’t styling — it’s the debut of Geely’s 16-in-1 Intelligent E-Drive system, a first-of-its-kind consolidated drive unit that folds 16 separate electric-drive components into a single 75 kg housing, aimed squarely at reducing weight and losses versus conventional multi-piece e-drive setups.

Powertrain and Charging

The Galaxy TT launches with two RWD battery options from CATL, both lithium iron phosphate (LFP): a 52.4 kWh pack rated at 540 km CLTC, and a 63.8 kWh pack rated at 640 km CLTC. The range-topping Ultra trim steps up to a 75.2 kWh LFP pack with a 650 km CLTC figure. WLTP equivalents haven’t been published yet, but based on typical CLTC-to-WLTP conversion for this battery chemistry, expect real-world figures closer to 420–530 km depending on trim. Every version rides on an 800V silicon carbide platform with 6C DC fast-charging support, and Geely claims a 10–80% top-up in roughly 11–12 minutes on a suitable DC charger, with 400+ km added in about 11 minutes. Onboard AC charging rate hasn’t been officially confirmed at the time of writing. The Ultra’s dual-motor setup pairs a 180 kW front motor with a 245 kW rear motor for 425 kW combined, good for a claimed 0–100 km/h in 3.8 seconds; RWD trims run a single 245 kW rear motor with more modest 6.5–7.2 second sprint times.

Pricing, Fit, and Competition

In China, the RWD Galaxy TT starts at 145,900 yuan (about $21,490) for the base 540 Premium trim, rising to 169,900 yuan for the 640 Flagship. The AWD Ultra is priced from 209,800 yuan (about $30,900) during its limited pre-sale run. Regional pricing outside China hasn’t been announced. This car realistically suits a buyer who wants strong straight-line performance and fast charging in a daily sedan without stepping into premium-badge pricing — more enthusiast commuter than family hauler, given the fastback roofline eats into rear headroom. Inside Geely’s own Galaxy lineup, the TT sits above the compact Galaxy L6 fastback and below the larger Galaxy E8 sedan. Externally, it’s built to go after the Xiaomi SU7 and Zeekr 7GT, both of which occupy similar sporty-sedan territory at comparable price points. For a direct spec-and-price comparison, the Xiaomi SU7 is the closest match — same segment, same buyer intent, and the car Geely has been most openly benchmarking against.
