BYD has officially previewed two new models for its lineup: the Tang L SUV and the Han L sedan. These models promise more intelligent driving capabilities because to the use of LiDAR technology.
The teaser photographs supplied by BYD show a clean and futuristic design, with the LiDAR sensor conspicuously placed at the top of the windshield. This sensor generates a highly accurate three-dimensional map of the vehicle’s surroundings.
BYD’s Dynasty series includes flagship models such as the Tang and Han. The Tang is a mid-to-large SUV and the Han is a mid-to-large car. Both model families include hybrid (DM-i and DM-p) and all-electric options.
The current 2025 Tang DM-i is a seven-seat SUV. The vehicle measures 191.7 inches in length, 76.8 inches in width, and 67.9 inches in height, with a wheelbase of 111 inches. The cheapest hybrid variant costs RMB 179,800 ($24,600). The 2025 Han DM-i measures 196.7 inches in length, 75.2 inches in width, 58.9 inches in height, and has a wheelbase of 115 inches. The hybrid models begin at RMB 165,800, while the 2025 Han EV starts at RMB 179,800 ($24,600).
BYD has yet to release the Tang L and Han L’s specifications and prices. They are projected to be more costly than their equivalents in the present lineup, as they are positioned as premium vehicles with superior technology.
