The Maserati GranTurismo Folgore is Maserati’s flagship all-electric grand touring coupe, built at the brand’s Modena factory and positioned at the top of the GranTurismo lineup. “Folgore” is Italian for lightning — the name Maserati uses across its entire electric range. The coupe seats four, runs a tri-motor AWD drivetrain producing 751 hp (560 kW) and 1,350 Nm of torque, and is built on an 800-volt platform developed in partnership with Marelli, drawing from the brand’s Formula E program.
It is the first fully electric version of the GranTurismo since the nameplate returned in 2024, and it is currently the most powerful production Maserati ever built — surpassing even the V12-powered MC12.
The GranTurismo Folgore carries a 92.5 kWh battery pack, of which 83 kWh is usable. WLTP-rated range is 280 miles (450 km); the EPA Combined figure is 242 miles. Real-world consumption reviewed by Evo in early 2025 tracked closer to 200 miles on mixed driving at speed — a meaningful gap from the WLTP claim that buyers should factor in.
Charging specs are as follows:
All figures above are from Maserati’s official specifications and EPA/WLTP certification data. No preview estimates are included.
The GranTurismo Folgore starts at $192,000 in the United States before a $1,995 destination charge, bringing the as-delivered base to $193,995. In the UK, pricing opens at £179,950. The vehicle is imported from Italy and does not qualify for the US federal $7,500 EV tax credit.
In Nigeria and across most African markets, there is no official Maserati distribution. Grey-market import pricing — accounting for duties, clearing, and current exchange rates — would realistically land between ₦350 million and ₦450 million depending on the transaction.
The buyer profile is narrow. This is a collector-grade or enthusiast purchase for buyers already experienced with ultra-luxury vehicles; it does not serve as a family or fleet proposition at this price point.
Within Maserati’s lineup, the Folgore sits above the Grecale Folgore (the brand’s entry electric SUV) and alongside the GranCabrio Folgore, the convertible variant of the same platform at approximately $205,000. External rivals at a comparable price and performance tier include the Porsche Taycan Turbo and the Aston Martin Rapide E where available. The closest single-model benchmark is the Porsche Taycan GTS — similar AWD architecture, 800V charging, and overlapping price band — which is the most common comparison buyers consider when evaluating either car.
