Our Rating

The overall rating is based on review by our experts

5.8
  • PERFORMANCE 5 / 10
  • BATTERY 7 / 10
  • BODY 5 / 10
  • DISPLAYS 5 / 10
  • COMFORT 6 / 10
  • SAFETY 7 / 10

PROS

  1. Very strong performance — 0-100 km/h in ~4.7 s with 400 kW power.
  2. Long range (especially with 100 kWh battery) — up to ~610 km (NEDC) reported.
  3. High structural rigidity — lightweight but stiff body with aluminum + carbon fiber.
  4. Advanced suspension (CDC + optional air) gives a good balance of comfort & sportiness.
  5. Smart digital cockpit + NIO’s NOMI assistant + OTA updates.

CONS

  1. Real-world range may be lower than NEDC claims (NEDC is less realistic).
  2. Charging times (especially for DC) are not ultra-fast compared to some newer EVs.
  3. Weight is quite high (~2,300+ kg), which could affect efficiency.
  4. Battery swap infrastructure is needed for the “full benefit” of NIO’s model (depends on region).
  5. Level-2 autonomy only — not fully self-driving.
