The Dongfeng Nissan joint venture built the 50,000th Nissan N7 EV sedan on December 11 in China after 227 days of continuous production. The company plans to send China-made Nissan electric cars to Southeast Asia and the Middle East next year.
The Nissan N7 entered the Chinese market on April 28 and recorded 10,000 orders within 18 days of launch. Deliveries reached 10,000 units by June 30. Data from China EV DataTracker shows total shipments of 39,441 N7 units as of October 2025.

Nissan confirmed the 50,000-unit milestone at its Guangzhou plant on December 11. The joint venture reached this figure in 7 months and 13 days. Pricing in China sits between 119,900 and 149,900 yuan, equal to 16,970 to 21,220 USD.
The Guangzhou Huadu plant acts as the main production hub for the joint venture with a peak annual capacity of 600,000 vehicles. It also manufactures the Sylphy, the brand’s highest-volume model in the local market.
Reports show that Dongfeng Nissan will start exporting its electric lineup in 2026 to Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and other regions. This shift supports the brand’s strategy to rebuild strength in competitive global EV markets.

The N7 is expected to become the first China-built Nissan BEV sedan shipped to overseas markets. It measures 4930 by 1895 by 1487 mm and has a 2915 mm wheelbase. The sleek profile delivers a drag coefficient of 0.208 Cd.
The entry model uses a 58 kWh LFP battery from Sunwoda paired with a 160 kW front motor. Range sits between 510 and 540 km, giving drivers a balanced mix of efficiency and cost.
A higher trim carries a 73 kWh LFP battery from the same supplier. Output increases to 200 kW. The CLTC rating reaches 625 km. The sedan accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.9 seconds.
