The Škoda Peaq is the Czech brand’s new flagship electric SUV — the largest vehicle Škoda has ever built and its first entry into the large, seven-seat SUV class. At 4,874mm long with a 2,965mm wheelbase, it sits above the Enyaq as Škoda’s range-topping EV. Built on the Volkswagen Group’s MEB platform at Škoda’s Mladá Boleslav plant, it’s offered in rear-wheel-drive and dual-motor all-wheel-drive configurations across three powertrain variants. The significance here is straightforward: it’s Škoda’s first model in the large-SUV segment and the first across the brand’s EV lineup to offer a genuine seven-seat layout.
Three powertrains are offered. The entry Peaq 60 uses a 63kWh battery (59kWh usable) and a 150kW rear motor for a WLTP range above 440km. The Peaq 90 steps up to a 91kWh battery (86kWh usable) and a 210kW rear motor for over 600km WLTP, while the range-topping Peaq 90x adds a second motor for all-wheel drive, pushing combined output to 220kW with range still above 600km. DC fast charging across the lineup takes roughly 27–28 minutes for a 10–80% top-up. AC onboard charging is expected to follow the MEB-standard 11kW rate, though Škoda hasn’t published a confirmed figure — treat that spec as unconfirmed pending an official release.
Pricing starts from around €49,900 in continental Europe for the Peaq 60, rising to roughly €57,900 for the long-range Peaq 90 — about ₦77.8 million to ₦90.3 million at current exchange rates. The UK only gets the larger battery, with the Peaq 90 starting at £51,980 and climbing to £58,280 for the SportLine trim; deliveries begin in early 2027. This realistically suits family buyers who need genuine seven-seat capacity and long-distance range from one vehicle, rather than commuters or budget-focused first-time EV buyers. Within Škoda’s own range, the Peaq sits above the mid-size Enyaq and effectively takes over from the petrol-powered Kodiaq as the brand’s large-SUV flagship for buyers ready to go electric. Outside the brand, its closest rivals are the Kia EV9 and Hyundai Ioniq 9 — both larger-capacity seven-seat EVs priced meaningfully higher in Europe. For direct spec-and-price comparison purposes, the Kia EV9 is the closest match: similar seating, similar range bracket, and the model most cross-shopped against the Peaq.
