Remigo has launched the RemigoOne Neo, a next-generation electric outboard motor focused on compact design, usability, and low-maintenance boating. The product has already gained major international recognition for its design-led approach to electric marine propulsion.
Design of the Year recognition
The RemigoOne Neo has won Design of the Year at the 2025 European Product Design Awards. This program recognises excellence in industrial and transport design across Europe. Judges highlighted the outboard’s integrated structure, practical on-water use, and purpose-built electric layout rather than retrofitting combustion concepts.

Electric-first outboard design
Based on the original RemigoOne, the Neo improves performance while keeping the slim, blade-style form. The electric outboard combines propulsion and rudder into a single unit. This reduces mechanical complexity, lowers maintenance needs, and simplifies installation compared to traditional petrol outboards.
Motor, battery, and performance
The RemigoOne Neo uses a 1000 W brushless DC motor with a 1500 W boost mode. Output matches a 4 HP petrol outboard without engine noise, fuel smell, or direct emissions. Power comes from an integrated 1085 Wh lithium-ion battery. The marine-grade aluminium unibody carries an IP67 rating for water and dust resistance. The system supports boats up to 7 metres in length or 1500 kg in weight.
Mounting, weight, and adjustability
The outboard features a two-part mounting system designed for fast setup and stability. Shaft length adjusts from S to XL in a single model without straps or tools. Total weight stands at 12 kg including the mounting bracket, supporting easy handling and transport.
New features and controls
The Neo adds optional remote control support for improved helm flexibility. All components remain fully integrated within the housing, keeping wiring, battery, and motor protected from exposure.
Company perspective
Remigo CEO Marko Vrtovec stated that the RemigoOne Neo was engineered as an electric system from the start, rather than a replacement for combustion engines. The design award reinforces the company’s focus on usability, durability, and simple operation for everyday boating.
