The Rivian R1T is a fully electric pickup truck built by Rivian. It sits in the premium midsize truck segment. It features a four door crew cab layout with a short bed and integrated storage, including a gear tunnel between the cab and bed. The R1T targets buyers who want utility, off road capability, and daily usability in one platform.
The R1T offers multiple battery packs. The Standard pack delivers around 270 miles of EPA range. The Large pack provides about 352 miles. The Max pack reaches up to 410 miles depending on configuration. Dual motor and quad motor setups are available. DC fast charging peaks at about 220 kW, adding roughly 140 miles in 20 minutes under ideal conditions. AC charging through a Level 2 home charger runs up to 11.5 kW.
Pricing in the US starts around the mid $70,000 range and increases with larger battery packs and quad motor configuration. It suits buyers who need towing capacity up to 11,000 pounds, off road features such as adjustable air suspension, and strong on road acceleration. From the same brand, the Rivian R1S and the Rivian R2 target SUV buyers. Alternatives include the Ford F-150 Lightning and the Tesla Cybertruck. Compared with the F-150 Lightning, the R1T offers stronger off road hardware, while the Ford provides a larger traditional truck bed and lower base pricing.
