XPeng G7 SUV Design
The first snapshot of an undisguised XPeng G7 has leaked on the internet, providing a taste of what to expect from the newcomer. The G7 sports a sleek and aerodynamic design, with hidden door handles and curved surfaces that reduce drag. The G7’s design language is similar to that of the recently introduced P7+ sedan, but with different rear tail lights that extend further into the tailgate.
The G7 is driven by a 218 kW electric motor and is intended to have two LFP battery pack options, both supplied by CALB. The G7 will include XPeng’s Hawk AI system, a vision-based self-driving technology introduced on the P7+. This system is gradually being phased into XPeng’s lineup, replacing the more expensive Lidar-based systems.
The G7 is 192.6 inches long, 75.8 inches wide, and 65.2 inches tall, with a wheelbase of 113.8 inches. This makes it slightly larger than the G9, and XPeng’s largest SUV to date. The G7’s inside layout is believed to be similar to that of the P7+, with an emphasis on minimalist design and modern technologies.
