The JAC E30X is a subcompact five-door hatchback produced by JAC Group under its Yiwei sub-brand, making it the first model launched under that marque since its April 2023 debut. It sits at the entry end of JAC’s electric lineup, built on the company’s second-generation DI dedicated EV platform with a front-wheel-drive configuration. It is notable for being the first model to carry the Yiwei badge, which JAC is positioning as its youth-oriented EV identity distinct from its mainstream range.
The top export variant runs a 51.5 kWh battery and 100 kW / 175 Nm permanent magnet synchronous motor, with a claimed 400 km on the WLTP cycle — the more conservative of the two figures JAC publishes (CLTC claims 505 km, which applies only to China-cycle testing conditions). AC charging is rated at 6.6 kW, with a full charge from 0 to 100% taking approximately nine hours — though EVKX.net lists the onboard charger as 11 kW for some variants; that figure is unconfirmed for the Middle East / export spec and should be treated as pending official clarification. DC fast charging is rated at 54–67 kW peak, with a 30%–80% charge taking around 30 minutes. A 34.5 kWh and 41 kWh variant also exist for certain markets with lower power outputs; specs for those trims outside China are not fully confirmed.
In the UAE, the entry Comfort trim is priced at AED 92,295 (~$25,100 USD) and the range-topping Flagship at AED 105,595 (~$28,750 USD). There is no official sub-Saharan Africa pricing or distributor network — any units entering Nigeria, Kenya, or South Africa would come through grey-market import channels, likely adding 15–25% above UAE retail depending on port and clearing costs. The E30X suits urban and peri-urban commuters who need a compact, tech-loaded EV without stretching into mid-size territory. Within JAC’s own EV range it sits between the smaller e-JS1 hatchback crossover and the larger e-JS4 SUV. Its closest external competition comes from the BYD Dolphin and MG4 Standard Range, both of which are more widely distributed in African markets. The BYD Dolphin is the most direct comparison on spec, footprint, and price band.

| Editor's Note | Specs above prioritise the 51.5 kWh export variant (UAE/Middle East spec). Several fields are unconfirmed — do not publish without verification. Boot capacity and top speed figures conflict across sources; both flagged. AC charging rate (6.6 kW vs 11 kW) also conflicts between regional sources and EVKX — verify against official brochure before publishing. |
