The JAC E30X is a subcompact five-door hatchback produced by JAC Group under its Yiwei sub-brand, making it the first model launched under that marque since its April 2023 debut. It sits at the entry end of JAC’s electric lineup, built on the company’s second-generation DI dedicated EV platform with a front-wheel-drive configuration. It is notable for being the first model to carry the Yiwei badge, which JAC is positioning as its youth-oriented EV identity distinct from its mainstream range.
The top export variant runs a 51.5 kWh battery and 100 kW / 175 Nm permanent magnet synchronous motor, with a claimed 400 km on the WLTP cycle — the more conservative of the two figures JAC publishes (CLTC claims 505 km, which applies only to China-cycle testing conditions). AC charging is rated at 6.6 kW, with a full charge from 0 to 100% taking approximately nine hours — though EVKX.net lists the onboard charger as 11 kW for some variants; that figure is unconfirmed for the Middle East / export spec and should be treated as pending official clarification. In the UAE, the entry Comfort trim is priced at AED 92,295 (~$25,100 USD) and the range-topping Flagship at AED 105,595 (~$28,750 USD). There is no official sub-Saharan Africa pricing or distributor network — any units entering Nigeria, Kenya, or South Africa would come through grey-market import channels, likely adding 15–25% above UAE retail depending on port and clearing costs. The E30X suits urban and peri-urban commuters who need a compact, tech-loaded EV without stretching into mid-size territory. Within JAC’s own EV range it sits between the smaller e-JS1 hatchback crossover and the larger e-JS4 SUV.
