Bonnell used AIMExpo in Anaheim, California to officially debut its 805 and 902 electric off road motorcycles to dealers, media, and industry professionals. The company brought full production ready bikes to the show, signaling a shift from early stage announcements to real market entry.

This appearance builds on Bonnell’s earlier confirmation of its electric off road program in April 2025, when the brand first revealed plans for the 805 and 902 models. AIMExpo marked the first public opportunity to inspect the bikes in person.

The two models target different riders while sharing a common electric platform. The 805 focuses on lighter weight and trail agility. The 902 serves as the flagship, built for high output riding and competitive off road use. Both bikes use dedicated electric chassis designs rather than converted combustion platforms.

Bonnell highlighted its technology focused development approach at the booth. Visitors reviewed digital dashboards, adjustable ride modes, and integrated control systems designed specifically for electric riding. Discussions centered on torque delivery, battery modularity, and rider assist systems rather than traditional engine specs.

According to Bonnell CEO and founder Matt Wouters, the bikes aim to deliver control and feedback that combustion bikes do not offer. Features such as customizable ride modes and real time performance data play a central role in the riding experience.

The Bonnell 902 now claims the highest output of any electric dirt bike to date, producing 87 horsepower.

By launching at AIMExpo, Bonnell placed itself in front of the North American powersports industry during a period of rising interest in electric off road motorcycles. The presence of complete bikes instead of concept displays positions the 805 and 902 as near term production models.
