The Optiq-V is a sportier, performance-oriented variant of the Cadillac Optiq — a fully electric compact luxury SUV built on GM’s Ultium platform.
The Optiq-V is expected to feature:
More powerful dual-motor all-wheel-drive system
Enhanced performance and possibly quicker 0–60 times
Sportier design elements and possibly upgraded suspension or brakes
As of now, Cadillac hasn’t released EPA-estimated range figures. However, it’s expected to offer between 280–320 miles, depending on battery size and trim level.
Exact performance specs are pending, but the “V” badge typically means enhanced acceleration and handling. Estimated 0–60 mph could be under 5.5 seconds.
Yes. The Optiq-V is built on GM’s Ultium platform, supporting DC fast charging. Expect up to 150 kW or more, allowing ~80% charge in ~30–40 minutes.
Super Cruise (GM’s hands-free highway driving system) is expected to be available on higher trims or as an optional feature.
Official pricing isn’t confirmed, but estimates suggest starting around $55,000–$60,000, possibly more depending on performance and features.
Cadillac plans to release the standard Optiq in late 2024 to early 2025. The Optiq-V may follow later in 2025 depending on production timelines.
The Optiq-V will compete with:
Tesla Model Y Performance
Audi Q4 e-tron Sportback
BMW iX3 or iX1 M Sport
Volvo XC40 Recharge Twin Motor
GM has committed to adopting the NACS (Tesla) port starting in 2025, so the Optiq-V is expected to support Tesla Superchargers, especially in later builds.
