The Jeep Avenger Electric is a front-wheel-drive subcompact SUV built by Jeep, a Stellantis brand. It is the entry point of Jeep’s current electric lineup in Europe, sitting below the Compass 4xe and the Wrangler 4xe. At 4.08 m long, it is built for city and suburban use. It won the 2023 European Car of the Year award — the first Jeep model to do so — and was the brand’s first purpose-built battery electric vehicle sold at retail.
The Avenger Electric carries a 54 kWh gross battery pack, with 51 kWh usable. Jeep rates the WLTP combined range at 239 to 248 miles (approximately 385–400 km), depending on trim and wheel size. The WLTP city-cycle figure reaches 580 km, but that reflects low-speed, stop-start conditions and is not a practical planning figure for mixed driving.
Real-world efficiency tests published by UK reviewers recorded 3.9 to 4.9 miles per kWh depending on ambient temperature — translating to a realistic range of roughly 200 to 250 miles in mixed use.
The Avenger Electric supports two charging modes:
AC charging: An 11 kW onboard charger handles home and public AC top-ups. A full charge from a compatible wallbox takes approximately 5.5 hours.
DC fast charging: The car accepts up to 100 kW at a public DC fast charger. Jeep’s official figures put a 20–80% charge at 24 minutes under optimal conditions. Independent sources confirm under 30 minutes as a consistent benchmark. Actual charge speed will vary with battery temperature and station output.
The front-mounted motor produces 156 hp (115 kW) and 260 Nm of torque. The 0–62 mph (0–100 km/h) time is approximately 9 seconds. Top speed is limited to 150 km/h. Drivetrain configuration is front-wheel drive only — no AWD variant exists for the full-electric version.
In Europe, the Avenger Electric starts at approximately €38,500. In the UK, list pricing runs from around £32,000 to £37,000 depending on trim, with lease options widely available. Pricing shifts by market and promotional period, so confirmed retail prices should be verified with local Jeep dealers.
The vehicle is officially distributed across Europe. No confirmed retail availability has been announced for Nigeria, Kenya, or South Africa as of mid-2025. Grey-market import pricing for African markets is not confirmed.
Within Jeep’s lineup, the Avenger Electric is the most affordable entry point. It sits below the Compass 4xe (a PHEV at a higher price) and well below the Wrangler 4xe.
Outside the brand, the closest competitors in the B-segment electric SUV class are:
Renault Megane E-Tech Electric — similar price range, larger 60 kWh battery option, slightly longer body.
Peugeot e-2008 — the most direct rival. Both share a Stellantis CMP platform, carry comparable usable battery capacity, and sell at overlapping prices across Europe. The e-2008 is the benchmark comparison for anyone cross-shopping this class.
The Avenger Electric suits a commuter or small family in a European urban market who wants compact dimensions, enough range for a weekly routine, and the Jeep brand without needing AWD capability.
