Skoda Enyaq iV

Skoda launched the Enyaq iV in 2020, its first dedicated electric SUV, built on the same MEB platform as the VW ID.4. The “iV” tag marked Skoda’s electrified models generally. That naming got dropped in the 2024 update, so anything badged Enyaq iV is the earlier, 2021-2023 car.

Five trims, two battery sizes. The base 50 ran a 55 kWh gross (52 kWh usable) pack with a 109 kW rear motor — about 340 km WLTP. The 60 moved up to 62 kWh gross (58 kWh usable) and 132 kW, rated around 390 km.

The bigger 82 kWh gross (77 kWh usable) pack covered the 80, 80x, and RS iV. The 80 made 150 kW and 310 Nm; WLTP range gets quoted anywhere from 500 to 537 km depending on the source and wheel size, and Skoda revised the official number more than once during production, so check the specific build year. The 80x added a front motor for all-wheel drive — 195 kW combined, 425 Nm — and lands around 460 km. The RS iV topped the range at 220 kW, all-wheel drive, 6.2 seconds to 100 km/h. A 250 kW RS revision also ran for 2022-2023, and the power/performance figures between the two don’t line up cleanly in every source, so pin down the model year before quoting either.

DC charging started at 50 kW standard, with a paid bump to 100 kW (50/60) or 125 kW (80/80x/RS). AC ran 7.7 kW single-phase or 11 kW three-phase depending on market. On the big battery, a 10-80% DC charge took about 29 minutes.

There was also a Coupé iV, same drivetrains under a sloped roofline. The Coupé 80 claimed up to 545 km WLTP off slightly better aerodynamics; the Coupé RS iV did 6.5 seconds to 100 km/h and topped out at 180 km/h. Towing capacity was 1,200 kg on the 60/80, 1,400 kg on the 80x and RS, across both bodies.

Cargo space held up well for the segment — 585 liters, 1,710 with the seats down, on a 2,764 mm wheelbase.

It never came to North America. Europe was the primary market, the UK its biggest right-hand-drive one; it didn’t reach China or other Asia-Pacific EV markets in this generation.
