The newest model from Huawei and Beijing Automotive Group’s joint Stelato brand, the Stelato S9T, has made its official debut in China and is already causing a stir in the EV market.
Launch and Pricing
The Stelato S9T was first offered at the launch event for RMB 309,800 ($43,580), which was less than its pre-sale price of RMB 328,000. On September 21, 2025, deliveries will start.
Over 5,000 firm orders were placed for the S9T within an hour of its launch, according to Huawei’s Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance (HIMA), demonstrating the device’s high market appeal.
The model is offered in four variants:
- EREV (Extended-Range EV): RMB 309,800 and RMB 349,800
- BEV (Battery EV): RMB 329,800 and RMB 369,800
Dimensions and Design
The wagon variant of the Stelato S9 sedan is called the S9T. It has a 3,050 mm wheelbase and is 5,160 mm long, 2,005 mm wide, and 1,492 mm tall. It is taller and somewhat wider than the sedan, giving the cabin greater adaptability.

Smart Driving Technology
The Stelato S9T is one of the first models to feature Huawei ADS 4.0, a next-gen autonomous driving system. Hardware includes:

- Three high-precision solid-state LiDARs
- Five 4D millimeter-wave radars
This ensures high-level safety, navigation, and advanced driver assistance features.
Stelato Brand Background
Stelato is one of five automotive brands under Huawei’s HIMA alliance, alongside:
- Aito (Seres Group)
- Luxeed (Chery)
- Maextro (JAC)
- Shangjie (SAIC)
The brand debuted in August 2024 with the Stelato S9 sedan, also priced from RMB 309,800.

The Stelato S9T has quickly proven its popularity:
- August 18, 2025: Pre-orders opened with over 10,000 reservations in the first hour
- August 19, 2025: Reservations surpassed 20,000 within 24 hours
