Xpeng’s flying car subsidiary Aridge has started early-stage marketing activity similar to vehicle pre-launch campaigns. The move signals growing confidence as the company prepares for large-scale production of flying cars.

On Friday, Aridge introduced the carrier vehicle for its modular flying car system, known as the Land Aircraft Carrier, through its official Weibo account. The company also revealed three exterior color options for the carrier vehicle.

The available colors are Stellar Silver, Moonrock Gray, and Supernova White. Each color draws inspiration from space and astronomy.

Stellar Silver reflects the appearance of planetary rings, with a matte finish intended to resemble ice particles moving in stable orbits. Moonrock Gray references ancient lunar soil shaped by billions of meteorite impacts. Supernova White represents the intense brightness released during a stellar explosion, presented as a clean and bright white finish.

Aridge traces its origins to 2013 and was formally established in 2020. It operates as a majority-owned technology arm of Guangzhou-based Xpeng and its chairman and CEO, He Xiaopeng. The company previously operated under the name Xpeng Aeroht before rebranding to Aridge in October 2025.

The company’s long-term development plan includes both electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft and modular flying car systems. The Land Aircraft Carrier is built around a two-part design consisting of a flying unit and a ground vehicle that transports and recharges the aircraft.
