According to reports from IT-Home, the prototype has been successfully completed at the FAW Group development institute’s assembly division. Positioned as part of Hongqi’s premium 9-series lineup, the E702 represents the brand’s latest mid-to-large electric sedan under its Hongqi New Energy sub-brand.

Engineers carried out multiple iterations of system optimization during the electrical commissioning phase. Notably, FAW’s test-bench setup set a new preparation-speed record when the high-voltage system activation was finished in just ten days.
