Lynk & Co’s New Electric Sedans Beat the Porsche Taycan on Track — and Charge in Under 9 Minutes

Lynk & Co revealed the 10 and 10+ electric sedans on April 7, 2026. The 912 HP 10+ beat the Porsche Taycan GTS at a lap record, starting from around $29,000.

Lynk & Co has officially revealed two new electric sedans — the Lynk & Co 10 and the Lynk & Co 10+ — with specs that put serious pressure on both legacy automakers and Chinese EV rivals like Xiaomi.

The cars debuted on April 7, 2026, and were previously known internally as the Z10 and Z10+. Both are large battery-electric sedans measuring 5,050 mm long with a 3,005 mm wheelbase — longer than a BMW 7 Series. Prices start at RMB 200,000–230,000, roughly $29,000–$33,000 at current exchange rates.

Lynk & Co 10+ Sets Track Record, Beats Porsche Taycan GTS

The headline performance claim belongs to the 10+. Lynk & Co took it to the Asian Ridge Track, where it completed a lap in 1 minute and 40.14 seconds — faster than the Porsche Taycan GTS, making it the circuit’s current production car record holder.

The 10+ is the first Lynk & Co model to carry the “+” badge, reserved for high-performance variants. It runs dual electric motors producing a combined 680 kW (912 hp) and hits 0–62 mph in 3.2 seconds. In-gear acceleration is equally sharp: 50–75 mph takes just 2.1 seconds, which matters most for real-world passing.

To keep that power planted, the 10+ gets an active carbon fiber rear wing, Brembo performance brakes, and 21-inch wheels. A new “Racing Shadow Blue” exterior and “Shadow Red” interior are exclusive to this variant.

Charging Speed That Beats BYD’s Latest Numbers

Charging is where both models push the conversation forward. The standard Lynk & Co 10 uses what the brand calls a “Golden Brick” 77 kWh battery on an 800V architecture, charging from 10% to 80% in roughly 10.5 minutes.

The range-focused variant steps up to a 900V system with a 95 kWh battery and a claimed 507-mile range. On a compatible V4 ultra-fast charger, it adds 1.2 miles of range per second and charges from 10% to 97% in 8 minutes and 42 seconds — faster than BYD’s most recently announced peak charging figures.

Efficient Motors, Light Hardware

The dual-motor drivetrain weighs just 75 kg, built partly from aero-grade magnesium alloy. Lynk & Co rates system efficiency at 93.7%, meaning very little energy is lost to heat during normal driving. The AWD system can also disengage in 10 milliseconds when traction isn’t needed, which helps extend range on the highway.

Design and Dimensions

Lynk & Co describes the styling direction as “The Next Day” — sharp lines, a low roofline, and a wide stance across the 1,966 mm body width. Both models stand 1,468 mm tall. The long 3,005 mm wheelbase directly translates to rear-seat space and allows a full-size battery pack to sit flat under the floor.

Pricing and Competition

At RMB 200,000–230,000 ($29,000–$33,000), the Lynk & Co 10 sits squarely in Xiaomi SU7 territory — and the comparison is intentional. Both target buyers who want sports-sedan performance without the European luxury price tag.

Lynk & Co is a brand under Geely, which also owns Volvo and Polestar. The 10 and 10+ are positioned as the brand’s flagship statement in a market that’s moving fast.
