The Opel Frontera EV has officially made its world premiere, giving us a clearer look at its pricing, features, and range. One of the biggest highlights is the starting price: the new electric SUV will cost around €34,000 (approximately $34,000) in Germany, positioning it as one of Opel’s most affordable electric models.
In its base configuration, the Opel Frontera EV delivers a WLTP range of more than 186 miles, while a long-range version boosts that figure to up to 249 miles. This places the Frontera EV firmly in the competitive compact electric SUV segment, appealing to drivers seeking efficiency and value.

Inside, the electric Frontera includes dual 10-inch displays, offering a modern and straightforward user interface. Practicality is also a strong point, with a 450-liter trunk that expands to 1,600 liters when the rear seats are folded. At launch, the model will come in a five-seat layout, but Opel has confirmed that a seven-seat version is on the way.
Opel also revealed that the Frontera EV will be its first model available for online ordering through what it calls a “one-scroll experience.” Product pages are optimized for all mobile device sizes, and the company plans to eventually allow full online purchasing—though no timeline has been provided.

Powering the Opel Frontera EV is a 113 hp single electric motor, supported by 100kW DC fast charging capability. As expected, the model will be sold in the UK under the Vauxhall Frontera name. While this debut offers only a partial picture of Opel’s new electric SUV, more details are expected in the coming months as the company expands its EV lineup.
