Polestar 5: A High-Performance Electric Grand Tourer with Bold Design

0

The production-ready Polestar 5 has finally arrived, more than five years after the Polestar Precept concept dazzled audiences. This flagship EV, which was unveiled at the Munich Motor Show, is Polestar’s direct competitor to the Porsche Taycan and combines stunning performance, state-of-the-art technology, and Scandinavian design.

Striking Exterior Design

In keeping with the dramatic styling of the Precept concept, the Polestar 5 is marketed as a four-door performance grand tourer. Muscular proportions, a sleek roofline, and sharp body lines highlight its low, wide stance.

Key exterior highlights include:

  • Signature dual-blade Pixel LED headlights for futuristic styling.
  • Retractable door handles and frameless windows for a clean look.
  • 20–22-inch alloy wheels that perfectly fill the arches.
  • A Kamm-style tail with no rear window, replaced by a digital rearview mirror for improved aerodynamics.

The bold rear-end design, also seen on the Polestar 4, is one of the most talked-about features, showing Polestar’s willingness to push boundaries in the EV space.

Power and Performance

Polestar is launching its new EV with two dual-motor, all-wheel-drive setups:
