The 2025 Ram 1500 Ramcharger has officially been introduced, and it’s unlike any other pickup truck on the market. Blending electric performance with extended range capability, this EREV (Extended-Range Electric Vehicle) is designed to eliminate one of the biggest concerns for truck owners — range anxiety, especially during heavy towing.
Electrified Power and Impressive Performance
At the core of the 2025 Ram 1500 Ramcharger lies a 70.8-kWh battery pack, delivering up to 145 miles of pure electric range. It powers an advanced all-wheel-drive setup that generates a combined 663 horsepower, offering exceptional acceleration and towing strength.
Unlike the fully electric Ram 1500 REV, the Ramcharger incorporates a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 generator. This gasoline engine doesn’t drive the wheels directly; instead, it recharges the battery or supplies power to the electric motors when needed. With a full tank and battery, Ram estimates an impressive 690 miles of total driving range.
Fast Charging and Convenience
Charging is quick and flexible. With access to a DC fast charger, the 2025 Ram 1500 Ramcharger can gain enough power for 50 miles of driving in just 10 minutes. For at-home use, Level 2 charging is available, offering a more relaxed way to top up overnight.
