Faster electric vehicle (EV) charging is on the horizon. One of the biggest EV charging networks in America, ChargePoint, has stated that it will launch its next-generation 600 kW DC fast-charging system in 2026, with the goal of recharging EVs in as little as 10- minutes.
A Major Leap in Fast-Charging Technology
Rick Wilmer, president and CEO of ChargePoint, called the new DC fast-charging architecture “a major innovation.”
The new system, which was created in collaboration with Eaton, a multinational power management company, links chargers straight to DC grids, increasing efficiency and cutting expenses for both EV drivers and charging station operators.
Wilmer claims that the new design will significantly reduce charger size while increasing power delivery. Users may save money on electricity and be able to recharge much more quickly thanks to the increased efficiency.
 Introducing the ChargePoint Express Grid
The 600 kW chargers at the new ChargePoint Express Grid stations can recharge the battery of a passenger EV in less than ten minutes.
In the second half of 2026, ChargePoint intends to start delivering components, ushering in a new era of lightning-fast EV charging.
