MG Cyberster is an all‑electric roadster from MG Motor. It sits in the sports EV segment as a two‑seat convertible with a focus on performance and style rather than daily commuting. The body is a low‑slung roadster design with an electric soft top.
It runs on a 77 kWh battery pack under the floor, with WLTP range values ranging from about 276 mi (440 km) to 316 mi (507 km) depending on variant. Real‑world range tends to be lower on mixed driving. The EV accepts DC fast charging up to around 144 kW, which brings the battery from 10 % to 80 % in roughly 35–40 minutes. AC charging at home is slower at around 7–11 kW.
Price sits above entry EVs and closer to premium performance EVs. In some markets Cyberster starts near ₹72.5 lakh to ₹75 lakh (ex‑showroom) or £55,000‑£60,000 in the UK. It suits buyers who want a sportier EV experience with open‑air driving and strong acceleration. Two other MG EVs are the MG ZS EV and MG4 EV. Alternatives include the Porsche 718 Cayman EV and Tesla Roadster. Compared with the MG ZS EV, the Cyberster focuses more on sport performance than practicality.
